Outside Academics

Institute Le Rosey is a school that encourages students to participate in a wide range of activities. We are suggested to complete at least six hours of after-school activities each week, which includes music, sports, art, community service and student-initiated clubs & societies.

Flute

Flute fills my time outside of school. I've been learning and practicing flute weekly for over eight years, over which it became one of the most essential parts of my life.

Piano

My interest in music further developed through piano, which I voluntarily chose to formally learn in 2021. It balances the time that I spend on music with flute and allows me to see music at a broader view.

Tennis

I started practicing tennis weekly at the age of nine with my older brother, through which I learned to how accept failure and maintain confidence when facing discouraging situations.

Orchestra

Joining the school orchestra is one of the most important change in my process of learning flute. I am fascinated by the magical combination of sound and the importance of collaboration over individual skill.

Paintings

I spent almost every Sunday afternoon in the art room for over eight years since 2012. I enjoy recording down the things in front of me in my own way while blending in my emotions.
